Mind/Body Teachers

Teaching Our AM Yoga Class
Jaqueline Pfeffer ("Jax"), RYT

Jacqueline Pfeffer is a (500 RYT) Yoga Instructor with 4 years of teaching experience and over 10 years of practice. Jacqueline is certain that yoga can transform lives one breath at a time. Her enthusiasm for life and passion for yoga is infectious and invites her students to smile and laugh, allowing them to take themselves lightly. You will experience a deep gratitude for your body, your practice and your breath after Yoga with Jax!

Vinyasa yoga has been the foundation of her teaching; however, her love of dance along with the exploration of Kundalini and Iyengar yoga have added to her ability to create a dynamic flow. Her classes offer a strong balance of effort with ease, strength with flexibility and grace with humility. She allows the individuals to find their own voice and determine what their true needs are. Through personal experience she firmly believes that the overall benefits of yoga have less to do with the physical postures and more about connection of mind, body and breath.

She completed her first yoga teacher training in Delray Beach in 2008 and is currently working towards her certification for the 500 RYT. Jacqueline also is certified with Indigo Yoga for Children (from CA), Yoga for the Higher Powered (a 12-Step base yoga) and Yoga Gangsters (305 Yoga in Miami). Several local and renowned teachers, such as Shiva Rea and Seane Corn have heavily influenced her personal practice and teaching methodologies.

She received her bachelor’s degree in Travel and Tourism, a minor in Business from the University of Florida, where she attended her first yoga class. Since graduating she has worked in various capacities within the Hospitality Industry, most recently at The Ritz-Carlton, Palm Beach in Public Relations and Guest Services, prior to transitioning to yoga full time in April 2011.

Jacqueline teaches at Hot Yoga of Delray, at the Buddha Lounge in Delray Beach, Fitness Now gym (Boca Raton) and Space of Mind (Delray Beach). Her classes vary for all levels and are unique to each location. Jacqueline also volunteers monthly with the Yoga School of Deerfield in bringing yoga to a correction facility.

You can join Jax from 8:00-9:00am on the lawn to start your day at our VOICES EVENT for an awakening yet gentle yoga practice entering us into this day of healing, community, and life storytelling.
